The last one from 1998 (until I find more), features Mark Parenteau and one of my favorite comedians/actors: Anthony Clark, who was promoting some gigs at Caroline’s in NYC.

I had been at the station for seven months, coming from Boston, so a visit from an Emerson Alumni was very special for me.  After Anthony and Mark finished clowning around, Mark was nice enough to swap places with me and let me be in a shot with Anthony.

Comedians have to go on promotional spots at radio stations, to help draw crowds.  While a necessary, it can be excruciating for the comedian, especially when the air talent has no respect for the comic’s art.  Mark was never like that.  He allowed the comic to talk freely and they always had an honest conversation.  I believe that’s why Q104.3 had so many comedians booked back then.

Shot on 35mm film.
