February 7, 2001 - Southside Johnny

By 2001 Q104.3 began taking up the mantle as the only rock station in New York City, following the demise of the legendary WNEW-FM.  In fact many former K-Rock and WNEW personalities made up the station's prime time air talent.

As a result of this melding, some of the old WNEW-FM artist standbys started coming around.  Little Steven was basically a fixture when he wasn't filming "The Sopranos" and in February of 2001 that other band from Asbury Park, NJ, Southside Johnny stopped by for a chat with Ken Dashow.
