Q104.3 was the New York affiliate for a syndicated radio show called Rockline. When the subject of Bob Coburn's interview could not be in Los Angeles, they would come to Q and do the interview from there. From a local station perspective, we would try and get at least 10 minutes with the artist for our purposes, or just linger a bit.
At the start of 2001, Peter Frampton came in to do his Rockline interview on the release of a deluxe 25th Anniversary edition of his groundbreaking album, Frampton Comes Alive! While waiting for the show to start, Frampton hung out with Marc "The Cope" Coppola in the Q kitchen/green room.
I had asked Frampton's wife, who was along, what the rest of their press tour for was like. The shot below is at the moment when Frampton's wife said, "Well, you guys were a class act. We have a bet going on how many morning shows are going to make stupid 'How many times does Frampton come alive?' jokes to me." Fortunately I already had the camera to my eye.
